San Francisco SAND (Support After Neonatal Death) is a support group for parents who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, death during or after birth, or termination for genetic reasons. It is common to be confused and overwhelmed by this loss. Parents often do not know if their feelings and problems are normal, or how long they will last. Parents helping other parents is the goal of our support group. Chris Lehr, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is available to lend professional support.

SAND meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm. All parents are welcome and do not need to call before attending. There is no fee. We meet at the UCSF Women's Health Building, 2356 Sutter Street, at Mt. Zion Campus, between Divisadero and Scott Streets, 2 blocks north of Geary Blvd. There is street parking available. View a map for directions from your location.
